Ultherapy® is recommended for individuals who have a mild to moderate degree of skin laxity, i.e. if your skin looks or feels less firm than you’re used to. If you have loose skin under the neck, under the chin, or lines and wrinkles on the chest, these signs may indicate that you are a good candidate for ultherapy®. The best way to determine whether ultherapy® will help you address your anti-aging concerns is to book a free consultation with the specialists at Dermapure, either in-person or virtually.

The answer will vary per patient, but typically, your early thirties are when you will begin experiencing the first truly visible signs of aging. Over time, and as early as 25 years old, collagen production begins to slow. Fine lines and wrinkles begin to form as your skin becomes less plump. Treatments like ultherapy are therefore recommended to maintain your skin’s firmness using supplementary methods.

Ultherapy appointments can last anywhere between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the area that is being treated.

The face, neck, brows and décolleté are the most commonly treated areas. Ultherapy can target crow’s feet, loose skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles.

For most patients, the effects of their ultherapy treatment will gradually appear within two to six months following a single treatment session. They can then last for 1-2 years depending on the patient’s skin and aging process, though individual results may vary. Dermapure recommends this type of procedure as part of an annual or bi-annual skin rejuvenation maintenance program.

Most patients require absolutely no downtime following their Ulthera® treatment. However, some people do experience temporary redness or minor swelling around the treated area in the 24 to 48 hours after their treatment.

Many patients elect to combine multiple treatments to enhance their overall results. In the case of ultherapy, you can combine this procedure with injectable treatments, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers. A free consultation with one of our physicians will help you determine your exact skin needs and create a personalized treatment plan that includes the best-suited treatment(s) for your skin and needs.
